Princess Devya Jubbal
The Princess has spent many years in Himachal due to her family legacy. The family has an Art Deco Palace in Simla which was made into a boutique heritage hotel in the year 1977. She has been a hotelier, a media anchor for NDTV Good Times, a cultural revivalist for Himachal Pradesh and is now the Himachal Pradesh representative for THE INTERNATIONAL DELPHIC COUNCIL, INDIA. The IDC is a corollary to the Olympics and was founded In Greece in, and its mission is to support performing arts and artists. For the longest time she has been wanting to tell a story of relevant chapters in the history of India as we know it today! One never chooses the family that one is born into but as it so happened her ancestors happened to be custodians of cultures in different parts of the Indian subcontinent.
She says she is fortunate to be able to trace records through pictures, diaries and letters with prominent personalities in the present era of erstwhile royalty. Time stops for no one but to be able to hear authentic stories of lives that were not just about administration but about the huge role they played in shaping the destiny of their kingdoms. Coloured with a passion that painted the canvas of a society at a very sensitive era in the burgeoning of a new India. Structure of the story So the central theme of the story as Princess Devya observes centres around interpersonal relationships that go back many generations of different dynasties and kingdoms.
